Each month during the school year, students from our elementary schools are selected to receive the School Board's Superstar Award for outstanding citizenship. These young students have been chosen from their campus based on the virtues of outstanding character, citizenship, fairness, honesty, kindness, respect, responsibility and trustworthiness.

Everyone at Daulton would like to thank all of our veterans who attended our Veteran's Day Ceremony. Thank you for your service and for allowing us to honor you on this very special day.
We were honored to have Mr. Dale Peterman with us again this year. Mr. Peterman has proudly attended the ceremony for the past 3 years. We were also honored to have Mr. Samuel Vickers with us this year. Thank you gentlemen for your WWII service.

Come check the Daulton Lost and Found! Items will be hanging on the hooks in the cafeteria and along the hallway by the gym and Music room. Some items are also in the gray can in the far back corner of the cafeteria.

MISD will conduct a normal instructional day as the district welcomes local citizens to exercise their right to vote.

Please help support our recycling efforts by sending in any used markers you may have around the house- even non-Crayola brands! Highlighters and dry erase markers can also be included. Drop-off boxes will be located in the Front Office and the Art Room.

Class pictures will be taken on October 24. There are no retakes for class pictures. Individual student picture retakes will also be on October 24. If you were absent for pictures or you just aren't happy with the first set, have your picture redone.

Our Daulton Book Fair will open October 22 and run until October 25. The book fair will not be open on Friday. Book fair hours are 8am - 3:45pm. Family night will be on Thursday during the parent conferences from 4pm - 7:30pm. Come and help support the Daulton Library.

Monday- Bring a canned food item.
Tues- Wear your favorite, school appropriate pajamas.
Wed- Wear you favorite socks or shoes. Remember it's picture day.
Thurs- Dress as your favorite circus entertainer.

Parent/Teacher conference are coming up. There will be evening slots available on October 25th and morning slots on October 26th. Make sure you have signed up for a time. Teachers have important information to share with you about your child's progress so far.

We will have our annual Community Helpers Parade on Oct 5, 2018. Come watch our future community helpers parade down the Daulton Main Hallway from 8:10-8:40 am. It sure is cute!

Thank you everyone for participating in the Read-A-Thon spirit week. The kids truly enjoyed it. Please remember to sign up for our Read-A-Thon. New forms went home on Friday. The money will go toward creating a "Maker Space" in the library. The students will benefit greatly from this addition.

The annual Daulton Read-A-Thon spirit week starts Monday,Sept. 10th. Monday is College Day. Tuesday is PJ day. Wed is Teddy bear day. Thurs is hat day. Friday is flashlight day.

Don't forget that this weekend is a 4 day weekend. Students will be off this Friday, August 31 and Monday, September 3rd for Labor Day. Enjoy your long weekend.

Each grade level has a different location for dismissal.
PK & K = Opposite of Courtyard doors nearest Room 12
1st/2nd = First grade doors facing the playground nearest Room 28
3rd/4th = Fourth grade doors facing Grand Peninsula Dr. nearest Room 40

Meet the Teacher is Monday, August 13th. Pre-k - 1st will be from 5-6 pm. 2nd-4th will be from 6-7 pm. Don't forget to bring your school supplies.
